Colliers Expands Retail Group by Acquiring San Francisco-based Brokerage Firm

Colliers International has recently acquired Johnson Hoke, a San Francisco- based brokerage firm that focuses on lifestyle retail properties and urban specialty. As part of the deal, Johnson Hoke, the retail brokerage firm executives, including Vikki Johnson, Pamela Mendelsohn, and Karen Hoke will become member of Colliers International’s growing retail services group, which are servicing many of the world’s best-known and largest retail landlords and retailers.

According to the company’s press release, the brokerage firm’s expansion and strengthening of its retail services path throughout the state of California and in prime markets across the U.S. is one of its main goals.

Chief executive officer of Colliers International in the U.S, Dylan Taylor said, Johnson Hoke—  brokerage firm is representing an excellent addition to its fast-growing United State’s retail platform.

The press release also stated that Collier acknowledges the brokerage firm’s long-standing reputation for integrity and creativity, as well as for the brokerage’s knowledge in retailing, merchandising and real estate.

Johnson Hoke is said to be joining Collier’s existing retail team in San Francisco and Marin County.

The brokerage firm was founded in San Francisco in 1997 as a boutique retail services company and has become one of the successful firms focusing on urban specialty retail. With a specialty on the higher end of the retail real estate market, the firm actively consults and advises with landlords, tenants, and developers across the region.

The former Johnson Hoke firm’s operation will be renamed as Colliers International. But based on the press release, there will be no changes in the staffs either at the brokerage firm and in  Colliers International .
