Yotel New York, a YO! Company luxury hotel brand with hotels at airports founded by Simon Woodroffe and Gerard Greene, will be opening this June at the Big Apple. The company’s luxury hotel, which is known for its mini-rooms, will be opening the 669-room Yotel Times Square, situated at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue, New York, on June 1, 2011.
Near Washington DC, a new hotel will also be developed — the first hotel development in the area for more than 20 years. The new hotels, located just south of downtown Washington, D.C, were developed by JBG’s Marriott Hotels, a worldwide franchisor and operator of hotels and related lodging centers.
The new luxury hotel by Yotel, according to company information, will be featuring about 669 stylish cabins. Yotel’s brand in New York will be its first hotel opening outside its international airport locations. And, according to reports, it will be the largest hotel opening in New York for this year.
Rooms in the luxury hotel will offer small— under 200 square feet and at reasonable prices with introductory rates staring at $149 per night, which will be available until September.
Much lower rates are also available when signing up at their Facebook page — a “strong business strategy”, according to Yotel CEO Gerard Greene.
There will be 18 first class cabins and VIP rooms that will have access to private hot tubs and outdoor terraces. The luxury hotel will also feature “Yobot” — the world’s first luggage robot.
Premium rooms in the luxury hotel, as stated in the company information, comes with monsoon shower, technowall with flat screen t.v, an office space, with free Wifi and complimentary breakfast. Restaurants and other entertainment venues can also be found in the new luxury hotel.
