Reportedly, plans are being made by Verizon to resume their phone contest with AT&T. These two innovative giants in the marketplace always assure users of some drama and highly competitive products and service. In this particular instance, it revolves around Verizon releasing a major Google Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Prime.
Indications are that Google and Samsung will confirm this venture with a joint announcement, in San Diego on October 11. Various projections give the launch date for the Verizon Nexus Prime between late October and early November, suitable for impacting onto the market for the holiday season. For Verizon, this device will with the Motorola Droid Bionic, feature a dual-core processor and provide 4G LTE capacity.
Reports show that the most intense competition for the Nexus Prime will be from the iPhone 4S from Apple, with a launch date on October 14. Although the Verizon release date has not yet been disclosed, Samsung and Google may get some user traffic, from re-directing users from purchasing the 4S.
The two main advantages the Verizon Nexus Prime could have over the new Apple device are its slim, smooth designed appearance an LTE facilities. The device is also expected to be original, by offering Android 4.0 ‘’Ice Cream Sandwich’’. There is added speculation; it will provide a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD screen with a convex glass.
