Groundbreaking for a master planned retirement community was announced recently by Foursquare Foundation. The retirement community — Foursquare Senior Living, a residential community is located at Echo Park, a hilly historic neighbourhood in Los Angeles, California, northwest of Downtown Los Angeles and southeast of Hollywood. The $10 million senior housing development is designed by KTGY Group, an architectural firm.
Another long-term care retirement community, Ingleside at Rock Creek will also be developing an additional 15 luxury-type independent living apartments. Ingleside at Rock Creek, the senior housing community is located at the Northwest district of Washington, DC.
The pedestrian, transit-oriented, eco-friendly retirement community is a 1.24-acre urban redevelopment project, which will replace several older homes with about 75 reasonably priced senior apartment homes.
The new Parkview Living, which is under Foursquare Senior Living residential community, is located at 1902 Park Avenue, Los Angeles.
Amenities in the new retirement community will include a dog park, lounging areas, rooftop terraces, espresso cafe, computer center, fitness center, barbecue area, and a swimming pool.
The residential complex will also have a 3,000 square feet multi-purpose room, which will also act as the community’s chapel. Courtyards and a fountain are also found in the community — sort of a gathering area for the residents, according to company information.
According to Manny Gonzalez, a KTGY Principal, the architectural design of the retirement community pays tribute in both detail and style to the historic residential neighbourhood, which surrounds the community, and to the Angelus Temple.
The retirement community will offer 66 one- and 9 two-bedroom single-story apartment units, with internet access, energy-efficient kitchen appliances, and covered patio or balcony.
