A number of new reports have surfaced from within the industry, suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S2 for the Sprint network will be running under the banner of Sprint Nextel and will be making its first appearance for the USmarket on September 8th. Should this prove to be true, there is every possibility that the Sprint Nextel Samsung Galaxy S2 will indeed be the very first for theUS market.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 has proved the most popular and celebrated of all Samsung Smartphones to date, having already shipped in excess of 6 million worldwide.
According to the latest reports, the Samsung Galaxy S2 for the Sprint network with be branded as the Samsung Epic 4G Touch, though will in fact carry identical specs to the original. The current global model of the S2 sports a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel camera and the truly stunning Super AMOLED screen.
However, there are additional reports suggesting that the S2 will not be alone and will instead share the spotlight with its biggest rival of them all, the Motorola Droid Bionic – also penciled in for release on exactly the same date.
