There are devoted followers and expert commentators across the board who believe that the biggest rival of all to the Motorola Droid Bionic will be the various carrier-specific iterations of the Samsung Galaxy S2 – but it looks as though they maybe wrong. Rumor has it that both launches will take place on or around the same day, offering massive performance and a comparable spec sheet likely to see many left swaying on the fence.
As it stands, one of the clearest differences between the two options is the fact that the S2 will indeed attract biblical numbers of customers, but not those who are looking to try out LTE technology. LTE is said to be quite simply the future of the Smartphone industry, offering speeds and reliability simply beyond compare.
However, if LTE support proves to be the deal-breaker when it comes to choosing between the two brands, Samsung may already have an addition ace in the hole by way of the so-called Samsung Celox. According to the latest set of leaks to make their way out of the East, the Celox will be a superbly beefed-up version of the S2, sporting a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display and LTE support to boot. Needless to say, should the rumors prove true, the battle will essentially be won by Samsung before it even had chance to begin.
Sadly, those looking to invest in the titanic Celox will have to exercise a degree of patience as there is still no word from the manufacturer as to whether or not the device even exists. In the meantime, the Samsung Vs Motorola battle should indeed prove an interesting one and last as long as it takes for the S2 to call on a little help from its big brother.
