Manufacturers of tank-less efficient water heaters, Intellihot Green Technologies Inc will be making Galesburg, a city in Knox County, Illinois, as its manufacturing base. The company’s goal is to make more efficient water heaters for residential homes and commercial buildings.
The company is a known maker of efficient water heaters has recently held worth $2.4 million financing, intended for its “change location” to the city of Galesburg.
Galesburg’s city officials were working directly with Intellihot for almost two years to bring the company in the city and secure the deal. The city’s officials along with Sridhar Deivasigamani, the company’s president have formally announced the move on Monday in a conference.
The city has granted Intelliot with $675,000 loan, and has guaranteed for the company.
According to Mayor Sal Garza of Galesburg, the city needs to be resourceful in providing the company its needed support, and the effort, according to Garza required a lot or coordination from numerous people.
Deivasigamani, Intellihot president said its plans to launch new green products aside from the efficient water heaters, which can be possibly manufactured in the city.
Intellihot will be manufacturing tank-less and efficient water heaters for both residential and commercial buildings, which is said to reduce energy consumption by about 40 percent.
The company will be making 45 jobs in two years and about 144 jobs in four years. The factory will be located at 2900 W. Main St. with 12,000-square-foot space.
According to the company, mass production of efficient water heaters will start during the second quarter of next year.
