On November 18, 2010, LA Fitness will open a sports club located at Highland Park, Illinois. The 43,000 square feet sports club is situated at the newly-renovated 50-year-old Crossroads Shopping Center. The worth $4 million renovation of the old shopping center is manage by Federal Realty Investment Trust, a real estate investment trust that is known to redevelop high quality retail properties.
According to the senior VP of leasing for Federal Realty Chris Weilminster, Federal realty is pleased to welcome LA Fitness to its newly renovated community center at the center of Highland Park. He also said that LA Fitness is popular for its high end concepts that are popular to numerous clients nationwide.
Federal Realty Investment Trust believes that the LA Fitness sports club will be a great attraction and would be considered as a grand amenity for the community center’s residents, as well as to other people at the neighboring area.
LA Fitness high end sports club at the community center features a 25 yard lap pool, saunas, showers, spacious locker rooms, and a full basketball court. It also features and indoor cycling studious and a separate room for group exercises.
Over all, the new renovated community center features new recessed lighting, fieldstone columns, and modern stone façade that are accented by metal awnings and bright color fabrics.
According to LA Fitness CEO and President Louis Welch, the company is exited to open its new sports club at the newly renovated community center.
The club at the community center is LA Fitness’s 20th sports club in Chicago.
