HTC are to offer a brand new and incredibly impressive LTE Android Smartphone beginning this week, namely the highly anticipated HTC Rezound, formally known as Vigor.
According to the latest reports from within the industry, HTC is set to make the official announcement at a high-profile press event in New York City on November 3rd. The reports also go on to suggest that the new Rezound will carry Android Gingerbread as its operating system with the HTC Sense UI tweak also onboard, and is pegged to hit the shelves in on the 17th – which is exactly one week after the rumored arrival of the Motorola Droid Razr.
The HTC Rezound is set to boast a variety of new features across the board, all backed up by a mighty dual-core processor of a rumored 1.5GHz. It is also likely that the device will feature a 4.3 inch 720p HD touchscreen, which is the same resolution as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the smaller screen will in fact boost the pixel density to a higher level.
However, HTC is set to face some of the biggest fights of its life upon the release of the Rezound, as along with the highly anticipated Motorola Droid Razr joining the mix in the very near future, there will also be the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the iPhone 4S to contend with. Indeed, it may prove to be the new Nexus that pips all comers at the proverbial posts, promising to be the very first device in the world to carry the new version of Android 4.) Ice Cream Sandwich.
