The US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Better Homes and Gardens have launched the “$25,000 Save Money, Save Energy Green Home Makeover Sweepstakes” that connects readers to USGBC’s GreenHomeGuide.com for simple tips and solutions for living greener.
The green building council previously launched its third-party apps that would enable online commissioning for buildings with the collaboration of energy efficiency solutions provider Scientific Conservation, Inc.
Nate Kredich, vice president of Residential Market Development of USGBC, said: “Green building has become a tried and true way to live healthier and conserve resources while saving money, and homeowners are looking for the latest and greatest strategies for creating and maintaining a green home.

The sweepstakes is designed to offer actionable tips and advice for green home living and will run across the Better Homes and Gardens network of magazines and Web sites.
Readers are said to gain knowledge from the expert advice from GreenHomeGuide.com and Better Homes and Gardens about ways to cut energy and water consumption, and to strategies for improving air quality.
Some tips and product guide describe several benefits offered by sustainable living. The featured tips also include instructions on using numerous products from sponsors GAF, Kohler, Lutron, Sherwin-Williams and Teragren can help homeowners meet their green living needs.
