Technophiles the world over have been waiting with baited breath for quite some time now to hear something concrete about the upcoming Google Nexus Prime – mainly to back up whether or not the rumors doing the rounds hold any water or are simply elaborate works of fiction.

Google Nexus Prime Officially Confirmed…Almost

Well, it appears that a number of said prayers may have finally been answered, albeit accidentally, by way of the legal team of Samsung revealing the device is indeed in their upcoming product list.

According to the latest industry reports, the manufacturer’s legal department has recently sent a letter to a person or persons in possession of the firmware to be used for the highly-revered though currently unannounced handset. The confidential document has the name ‘Nexus Prime’ included several times over, which adds quite enormous weight to the rumors circulating regarding such a name for quite some time now.

Furthermore, the letter is said to state that the Nexus Prime firmware belongs exclusively to Samsung and its partner groups, indicating that the device may have been fully patented and registered.

While an official announcement is still pending, the Prime is earmarked by many to sport a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus display and a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Needless to say, if and when the device finally makes its appearance later this year, those with the required patience are set to be richly rewarded indeed.
