“Now, four years later, we will be introducing some exciting new products that are going to enable consumers to take food further than they ever imagined, with features like our 20,000 BTU tri-ring burner on our new free-standing double-oven or Speedcook in our Advantium oven,” said Mike Starmer, merchandising manager, GE Appliances & Lighting.

“Consumers can make an outstanding birthday cake and mini cherry cobblers at the same time in these new products to celebrate Café’s fourth birthday.”

“Labor Day 2007 was a perfect time for GE to launch a new brand of kitchen appliances for those of us who don’t consider cooking laborious, but rather enjoy it,” Ge Appliances said in a statement.

“Since then, the Café line has continued to expand, offering affordable, innovative products in every kitchen product category – cooking, refrigeration and dishwashers.”

With GE’s effort to update the overall look of a kitchen without the hassle of remodeling the cabinetry, any cooking enthusiast or aspiring chef who needs to outfit an entire kitchen suite is offered with many choices.

“The professional appearance and performance of Café attracts the serious cook who wants the tools and features to take their cooking from four stars to five,” GE said.

New Café products and features include an enhanced built-in cooking products, a single 30” wall oven and a double-oven, new cooktops in both gas and electric 30” and 36”, free-standing gas double-oven at 6.7 cubic feet, new dishwasher with steam prewash option and dedicated water jets for silverware, and redesigned free-standing French-door refrigerator with more ice storage in the door.
