An American dental product and equipment distributor based in Pennsylvania— Benco Dental is opening a dental facility in Storey County, county located in the state of Nevada— a business expansion, a healthy sign of recovery in the area. Benco Dental will be opening its dental facility in industrial center.
Opening on May this year, the dental facility will also employ 15 full time employees— job opportunities for the area, which will include service technician, sales representative, material handlers, and a distribution manager.
Vice president for Benco Dental, Lou Mangino said the company has considered other states like Utah and California but decided to choose Reno, Nevada for its business climate and accommodating and friendlier atmosphere.
Mangino also said Reno’s proximity to other 11 western states is a major factor in choosing the place, plus, the company’s ability to reach 65% of its customers in one day is also a selling point.
The region’s workforce was also a major factor why Benco Dental chose the state for its new dental facility.
The EDAWN or the Economic Development Authority in Western Nevada said that the Benco dental relocation corresponds to an annual economic force to Reno of $1,683,596, and about a sum of $331,395 in county and state taxes will be created in its 1st year in business.
Benco Dental’s dental facility in Reno is its 5th distribution hub in the U.S, its other dental distribution centers are in: Jacksonville, Florida, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dallas, Texas, and the company’s head office in Pittston, Pennsylvania.
The company’s dental facility at the Tahoe- Reno Industrial Center in the region will be serving its west coast clients.
